EVA LAM: Student & Rhodes Scholar, Harvard University

Eva Lam is a senior at Harvard College, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies and a high school history teaching certification. As an undergraduate, she was Legislative Director and then President of the Harvard College Democrats; she was also a tutor at the Harvard Writing Center. She worked as a field department intern with Obama for America in Manchester, New Hampshire, during the presidential primary campaign, and volunteered with the campaign in New Hampshire and Massachusetts during the general election. She has also worked as a research intern with the Public Policy Forum in Milwaukee, WI, studying the economic impact of early childhood education in southeastern Wisconsin. Her senior thesis investigates cultural competence training in Teach For America and the Boston Teacher Residency. After graduating, she will spend two years at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, pursuing degrees in comparative and international education and comparative social policy.
